Raising the bar in teacher training at Islamic International School Pesantren Sabilil Muttaqin
Teachers at a new school in Surabaya, Indonesia have been undergoing training in Singapore and Indonesia to improve teacher training capabilities and their development of academic curriculum through a grant of S$306,000 by Temasek Foundation.
With the support of educators from Al-Irsyad Singapore, intensive training sessions have been held both in Singapore and Indonesia to help in the set-up of the Islamic International School Pesantren Sabilil Muttaqin. Trainers from Al-Irysad Singapore will help the school to establish good processes and systems and be equipped with well-trained staff. The aim is to establish the Islamic International School Pesantren Sabilil Muttaqin as a model school for 200 other schools within the Pesantren Sabilil Muttaqin in East Java to emulate and raise their education standards to benefit more than 75,000 students.
