Master English teachers training programme in Hainan province

In partnership with SEAMEO Regional Language Centre in Singapore and the Hainan Normal University, Master English teacher trainers in Hainan Province will be trained to develop education capabilities in the English language.

Teachers from various language development centres across Hainan’s 18 prefectures will benefit from this two-year programme. Hainan’s secondary school teacher educators will develop their competencies in pedagogy and content skills to develop the English curriculum and teaching methods. The programme, funded by a grant of S$1.1 million by the foundation, is supported by Hainan’s Ministry of Education. The programme was launched jointly with the Hainan Nurses Training Project in Hainan Province on 19 March 2008.
