Academic Support for Spectra Secondary School Students

Partner(s)

Crest Secondary School

This programme supports students who are academically weaker or have learning needs, so that they are better able to access the school’s curriculum. Under the programme, Spectra Secondary School employed literacy and numeracy coaches as well as the services of an educational psychologist.

The literacy and numeracy coaches worked closely with teachers and allied educators to identify students and develop individualised intervention plans for them. Intervention may take the form of in-class support or pull-out classes. The educational psychologist assessed and supported students with more severe and complex learning challenges.

From 2017 to 2019, 127 students benefitted from the programme.
