Peripheral arterial disease (“PAD”) and its late-stage critical limb threatening ischaemia (“CLTI”) affect almost a fifth of Singaporeans aged 50 and above, and are responsible for hundreds of limb amputations each year locally.

Pedra Technology has developed a non-invasive system for real-time deep-tissue perfusion monitoring in critical limb ischaemia patients. In this project, Pedra Technology will be conducting a trial with their clinical partner to validate the system’s effectiveness in supporting clinicians in making the right decisions during endovascular procedures and in improving patient outcomes, which can help to prevent amputations.
