Meet Mr Crabcake, birthed out of Sophie’s BioNutrients’s microalgae protein innovation, which helped them secure a win at The Liveability Challenge 2019.

With their proprietary technology, Sophie’s BioNutrients is looking to enhance sustainable food security for urban areas by scaling up production of low-cost food-grade protein through the fermentation of microalgae. 

Presented by Temasek Foundation, The Liveability Challenge is an annual international platform to seek solutions for sustainable and future-ready cities. Through such innovation challenges and research, we support innovations to improve liveability and to enable a vibrant sustainable community today and for generations to come.
